EMDR Psychotherapy & Intensives
When the past is over, but your mind and body are still responding.
Choose ongoing 60-minute psychotherapy or an extended EMDR intensive when the target, readiness, clinical goal, and post-session support make that format appropriate. EMDR or the Flash Technique may be incorporated after individualized assessment.

One clinical approach. Different amounts of uninterrupted time.
An intensive is not a separate therapy or a promise of faster healing. The format is selected according to clinical fit, preparation, pacing, safety, and the support available after the session.
01 60-Minute EMDR Psychotherapy $200 • Insurance eligible
Who it is for
Adults seeking ongoing trauma-focused psychotherapy with time to assess, prepare, process, integrate, and revisit change across sessions.
How it is structured
Secure telehealth, 60 minutes, generally scheduled as an ongoing psychotherapy relationship rather than a single technique-only appointment.
This work may be considered when assessment identifies concerns such as:
- Trauma, PTSD, complex or developmental trauma, and attachment injury
- Intrusive replay, rumination, avoidance, or persistent emotional activation
- Sexual trauma, betrayal, grief, moral injury, or relational wounds
- Shame, self-doubt, disrupted self-trust, or difficulty reading internal signals
- High-functioning overresponsibility, burnout, or emotional shutdown
- Fear responses that remain intense despite logical understanding
Insurance boundary: Eligible weekly individual psychotherapy is the only service that may be billed to an accepted insurance plan. EMDR or the Flash Technique may be incorporated when clinically appropriate; no particular intervention is guaranteed in advance.
Use the secure psychotherapy pathway02 EMDR Intensives Private pay • $225/hour
Extended-format psychotherapy offers more uninterrupted time for preparation, processing, regulation breaks, closure, and integration. Intensives may be considered for an individual or couple when clinically appropriate.
May fit a defined target such as a single incident, specific trigger loop, contained fear response, or focused relational pattern.
$675May fit linked targets or concerns requiring more preparation, processing time, regulation breaks, and closure in one day.
$1,125May be considered for layered targets requiring preparation and integration across three structured days.
$3,375Clarify the goal and determine whether the extended format may fit.
Review history, readiness, regulation, target priorities, and post-session support.
Use clinically paced work with breaks and resourcing built into the day.
Complete closure and create a follow-through plan before the session ends.
Readiness matters: Significant dissociation, acute instability, ongoing danger, insufficient post-session support, or a need for broader stabilization may make a slower ongoing format safer. Intensives are private pay and are not submitted to insurance.

The Flash Technique may offer a lower-intensity entry point when direct focus on a distressing memory feels too activating. A target is identified and monitored while conscious attention remains with a positive engaging focus rather than prolonged immersion in the memory.
- Selected according to fit, consent, readiness, and safety
- May be used as part of preparation within a broader treatment plan
- Does not require detailed narration of the target
- Is not memory erasure, guaranteed painless treatment, or a substitute for trauma assessment
04 What EMDR Therapy Is Structured psychotherapy
EMDR is a structured, eight-phase, trauma-focused psychotherapy rather than an eye-movement exercise used in isolation. Assessment, case conceptualization, preparation, target selection, reprocessing, closure, and reevaluation remain part of the work.
A diagnosis, symptom, or traumatic history does not make one protocol automatically appropriate. Preparation, medical collaboration, crisis support, another treatment, or referral may need to come first.

These focus areas describe Jillian’s scope and clinical lens. They do not determine fit without assessment.
01Complex Trauma, Attachment & Self-Trust
- Complex and developmental trauma
- Attachment injury and recurring relational triggers
- Chronic shame, self-doubt, and difficulty trusting internal signals
- Pursuit, withdrawal, control, pleasing, avoidance, shutdown, or overresponsibility
- Experiences that remain active despite substantial insight
02Sexual Trauma, Grief, Betrayal & Moral Injury
- Sexual trauma and memories affecting body connection, intimacy, boundaries, or choice
- Persistent grief, identity disruption, and experiences that changed how safety is understood
- Betrayal and relational wounds
- Moral injury, cumulative exposure, and conflict between values and lived experience
- Shame or self-blame that continues after the event has ended
03Therapy for Therapists & Helping ProfessionalsThe person behind the role
Therapists and helping professionals may be skilled at assessing, containing, and remaining functional while other people depend on them. Personal psychotherapy provides a different relationship from consultation: the focus is you, not only your clinical work.
- Burnout, compassion fatigue, secondary or vicarious trauma
- Cases, losses, or cumulative exposure that remain emotionally present
- Moral injury, ethical strain, perfectionism, or professional overfunctioning
- Difficulty receiving care without performing competence
- Personal trauma, relationships, sexuality, grief, identity, or intimacy concerns
- The cost of continually being the regulated and useful person in the room
