Consultation (Clinicians)
EMDR consultation for clinicians seeking fidelity, confidence, and structured case conceptualization.
Consultation is not clinical supervision. Consultees retain full responsibility for clinical decisions, documentation, and case management. Case material must be de-identified.
Fit Calls are scheduled by invitation after review.

Consultation Options
Choose the consultation container that fits your current stage: skill-building, stuck points, fidelity refinement, or certification-focused structure.
Rates: $225 (60-min Individual) • $95/person (90-min Group, Cap 8) • Fit Call by invitation after review.
Individual EMDR Consultation (1:1)
For clinicians who want direct support with case conceptualization, target sequencing, phase fidelity, clinical decision-making, and stuck processing. Ideal for complexity, dissociative features, strong protectors/avoidance, and “I know the protocol but it’s not moving” situations.
- Case conceptualization + AIP mapping
- Target selection and sequencing
- Preparation/resourcing and readiness pacing
- Cognitive interweaves and clinical decision points
- Integration planning and containment strategies
Format: 60 minutes
Rate: $225
EMDR Consultation Group (Small Group)
A focused group container for peer learning and clinical refinement. The group is structured, paced, and designed for high-value case discussion rather than open-ended processing.
- Structured case presentation and feedback
- Target sequencing + stuck points troubleshooting
- Protocol fidelity and safe modifications
- Resourcing strategies for overwhelm/shutdown
Format: 90 minutes • Cap: 8 clinicians
Rate: $95 per person
Certification-Focused Consultation (Track Support)
For EMDR clinicians pursuing certification who want a clear plan, organized hour-tracking support, and targeted clinical development aligned with current EMDRIA standards.
- Consultation plan mapped to your timeline
- Case selection strategy and documentation guidance
- Fidelity coaching + clinical development targets
- Organization support (hours tracking + structure)
Structure: Individual and/or group consultation based on fit and your timeline.
Rates: $225 (60-min individual) • $95/person (90-min group, cap 8)
Advanced Training Integrated Into Consultation
Best fit for: complex presentations, high avoidance/shutdown, dissociative features, fidelity questions, stuck processing, and target sequencing challenges.
Consultation is grounded in standard EMDR and informed by advanced training in complex trauma, moral injury, and crisis/early intervention. We apply this training to strengthen case conceptualization, refine target sequencing, and support safe, fidelity-consistent decision-making with complex presentations.
- EMDR for Moral Injury — conceptualization and repair work for existential/identity rupture in military, first responder, and medical populations
- EMDR Early Intervention & Crisis Response (EEI Suites) — field-adapted crisis frameworks, triage thinking, and early intervention protocols for high-intensity contexts
- Flash Technique (advanced adjunct strategy) — used when clinically appropriate to reduce initial disturbance and improve readiness when overwhelm, shutdown, or avoidance is high
- EMDR-AIP Intervention for Adult Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA) — AIP-informed targeting for developmental trauma and associated negative core beliefs
- EMDR Treatment of Complex PTSD — phase-oriented stabilization, pacing, and reprocessing for chronic trauma and dissociative features
- Engaging Teens’ Protective Parts — parts-informed strategies to collaborate with adolescent protectors and increase safe access to targets
Consultation frameworks commonly applied
-
Implicit vs. Explicit Memory (AIP-informed) — differentiates body-based/implicit activation from narrative/explicit memory to guide precision case planning.
• Targets “felt-sense” loops when insight isn’t shifting physiology.• Informs target selection, pacing, and intervention choice.
-
Defenses & Avoidance (Phase 2 readiness) — treats avoidance as protection—not resistance—so consultation stays fidelity-consistent and safe.
• Assesses function/cost of defenses before increasing processing demands.• Uses stabilization + titration to stay within the window of tolerance.
-
Dissociation Continuum (assessment + pacing) — uses a continuum framework to adjust history-taking, sequencing, and processing load.
• Screens for dissociation and modifies target complexity and pacing.• Prioritizes resourcing + careful sequencing to reduce flooding/destabilization.
Tools are selected based on clinical fit and safety—never automatically—so consultation remains fidelity-consistent and nervous-system informed.
How Consultation Works (Fit, Boundaries, Next Steps)
- Request Consultation (training status, goals, and focus areas).
- Review for fit (scope, readiness, and timing).
- Fit Call by invitation (if appropriate).
- Begin consultation in the agreed container (individual or group).
Consultation is designed for EMDR-trained clinicians. If you are still in basic training, include your training provider and current stage in your request.
Fit Calls are scheduled by invitation after review.
